Diets! Short-Term Benefits? Long-Term Dangers!

Diets! Short-Term Benefits, Long-Term Dangers!

As American culture continues to center itself around convenience, the state of health in this country will continue to decline year after year. The majority of Americans make decisions based solely on utility and convenience. This kind of philosophy has made its way into the health and nutrition world and it is costing peoples lives in the process.

There are so many diet fads that are advertised in magazines, doctor’s offices, health food stores, book stores, even on t.v., etc. Majority of these weight loss programs are based on the American convenience philosophy, therefore, enabling you to have your cake and eat it too!! Diets such as the Atkins diet, Dr. Barry Sears’ Zone Diet, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Lean Cuisine, etc., are multiple examples of dieting with pleasure! These diet plans are attractive because of the emphasis placed on the palatable indulgence of eating lots of fat, animal proteins, and junk food.

You may experience more energy, weight loss, a better physique, changes in blood pressure, lower cholesterol levels, and other health benefits. However, these food sources do not remineralize, build, repair, regenerate, or nourish your blood and tissues. The ramifications of eating this way increases your chances of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. Over time, your body will become deficient in vitamins and minerals, exhaust digestive and metabolic enzymes, destroy your intestinal environment, making your blood and tissues acidic, therefore, changing your internal environment into a toxic soup!

Are the short-term benefits of these weight loss programs worth the potential long-term dangers? The obvious answer is no, but the long-term dangers may not be enough for you or others to stop consuming a diet high in fat, animal protein, and junk food. The foods and meals taste delicious, there are short-term health benefits, and eating healthier for preventative measures does not sound very appetizing. However, what these diet fads often do to people, possibly, yourself, is lead you down a path of perpetual frustration, resentment, and failure! Plus, it requires you to count calories, measure food quantities, and focus on portion control to the point of controlling your everyday life. To make matters worse, the moment you stop the diet, its almost guaranteed that most, if not all, of the weight you lost will come back. This leads to emotional burnout and the option of trying another diet makes you feel exhausted before it even begins.

How would you like to stop the calorie counting, portion controlling, weight gain/loss roller coaster? If the answer is yes, here is a way to look at food differently, so that you can eat without guilt, lose weight naturally, and eat a broad range of foods, that leave you nourished, fulfilled, and, as an added bonus, help you to prevent diseases in the process!

Looking at the nutrient density of the foods you are consuming is what matters! The more nutrient dense a food is, the higher the levels of minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients, fiber, and enzymes are in the food, moreover, building and repairing your blood/tissues, boosting your immune system, correcting metabolic processes, increasing energy and stamina, increasing sex drive, and the list of benefits goes on and on. So, it is recommended that you consume 80 to 85% of your calories from plant based foods, e.g., fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, sprouts, sprouted grains, and legumes. The list of foods in these categories are very large, so this provides you with a plethora of meal ideas that will not lead to burnout, plus, you can consume large amounts of these plant based foods without the worry of weight gain!! Who knew that you will be able to eat more, have more foods to choose from, never feel deprived, and know that you are preventing disease, all at the same time! Your daily intake of animal based protein should be limited to 10% of your calorie intake daily and 5% should come from good sources of fat. Refer to the “Nutrition” section on TransformedBody.com for a list of foods, what to eat at each meal, good sources of fat, what types of meat to buy, and recipe ideas to get you started on this new way of eating a nutrient dense lifestyle. Too Much Animal Protein and Disease!

When you talk to most physicians, trainers, or nutritionists, they will tell you that the key to sustained weight loss is a diet high in animal protein, moderate to low in carbs, and low in fat. So you begin to eat larger amounts of animal proteins in the form of dairy, chicken, red meat, and fish as the staple of your daily meals. Eating this way will lead to weight loss and lean muscle growth, albeit, what these health professionals are not telling you, is that, a nutrition plan high in animal proteins will lead you down the path towards disease and early aging. Amino Acids and Your Health

With the growing phenomena of nutrient deficient diseases in America today, there is very little discussion regarding the importance and deficiency of amino acids and your health. You hear lots of discussion in the health industry about vitamin, mineral, and hormone deficiencies/imbalances, albeit, without amino acids, none of those just mentioned will function properly.

You probably already know that amino acids are the building blocks of protein and are necessary for the growth and reproduction of your cells. When your body is required to make something out of proteins, there are necessary amino acids needed in proper combination to carry out this metabolic function. Amino acids are combined into chains called peptides, and the peptide chains form protein molecules. Your organs, blood vessels, muscles, and other tissues, enzymes, various hormones, and neurotransmitters are made of specific combinations of amino acids, therefore, like enzymes, without them, life would cease to exist. Enzymes and Digestion

If there is one fact happening in America today, it is the reality that there are more and more people having digestive issues today! There are many reasons that lead to intestinal problems like eating too many enzyme deficient cooked foods, prolonged use of antibiotics and other pharmaceutical drugs, etc. I wanna spend a little time discussing the relationship between enzymes and digestion to give the reader a deeper understanding and why we need to be supplementing with plant based certified digestive enzymes and probiotics at each meal, i.e. Core Health Products.
The thermodynamics of food concern energy in the form of biochemical compounds. The original source of that energy is the sun, as its electromagnetic energy is trapped in natural chemicals (known as phytonutrients in plant food) during photosynthesis. Humans are created to utilize energy from foods that we eat, however, many foods we ingest do not contain the “biogenic light energy,” therefore, exhausting our “enzyme potential” in the body.

Kangen Water Reduces blood and tissue acidosis

Why Kangen Water will reduce

over-acidification in the body!

So what causes over acidification in the body? For starters, the normal functions of the body have metabolic by products that are acid forming, therefore, without eating or drinking the body builds up acid waste. It is acidic waste that builds up in our interstitial fluids of the cells, our tissues, organs, and muscles that need to be neutralized by alkaline water. Without neutralizing this acidic waste and pushing it out of the body; the body cannot reach optimal health at the cellular level. In order to efficiently neutralize the acid inside the interstitial fluid of the cells, tissues, organs, and muscles with greater efficiency, drinking Kangen water is the best choice.

Inflammation, The Silent Killer!

One of the most talked about topics today regarding your health is the role that inflammation plays in most, if not all, disease processes. A book titled, “Enzyme Therapy,” written by Drs. Wolfe and Ransberger state, “inflammation in its multitude of forms is perhaps the most general and fundamental reaction in all pathological processes.” Most allopathic and naturopathic physicians know the importance of addressing inflammation because without reducing or eliminating inflammation, any disease will not resolve itself. The fundamental difference between allopathic and naturopathic physicians in addressing inflammation, is that, the former treats it with drugs, while, the latter, treats it with foods, supplements, and a plethora of alternative therapies.

Kangen Water and the Brain! Dr Corinne Allen

Water and the Brain!

Why Kangen water will help with mental illness!

Water and The Brain
by Dr. Corinne Allen

Why is Water So Important for the Brain?

The Brain is 85% water. Optimal brain function depends on water and lots of it. Water is what keeps the brain signals going. When the quality of water is compromised the signals are short circuited. Water supports DNA and is the largest single source of energy. The brain has no way to store water and dehydration comes if all the water lost in a day is not replaced and this deficiency is accumulated. Brain cells need 2x more energy than other cells in the body. Water supplies energy. Nerve transmission consumes one-half of all the brain’s energy (nearly 10% of the whole body’s energy). When hydrated, you have more energy. When the brain is functioning on a full reserve of water, it will function at full capacity and you’ll think better and faster. Creativity is boosted.

The Beauty of the Whole Food Rainbow

The state of health in America is getting worse than ever before in its national history. Most Americans consume 51% refined and processed foods; 42% dairy and animal foods; and 7% fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. This eating regimen is what is called, “The Standard American Diet,” aka S.A.D. A direct ramification of following this kind of eating lifestyle, is leading America down a path that will create more degenerative diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancers, heart disease, diabetes, mental illness’, etc. Unless Americans change their lifestyles regarding nutrition, incidences of the general diseases just listed will only get worse. Americans must begin to “Eat to Live,” rather than, “Live to Eat.” In other words, eating foods that prevent disease, rather than, increase the chances of disease!
